Norwich Center for Global Resilience & Security

Norwich University is the nation’s first private military college

Norwich University is committed to supporting and validating new and innovative models of learning for future civilian and military leaders.

MKA and Norwich University’s Center for Global Resilience & Security (CGRS) have partnered to craft creative, innovative, and sustainable solutions for building resilient communities through interdisciplinary research and design collaboration in a new energy track within the Center. The focus of the CGRS track is to research effective strategies and place those strategies within actionable frameworks, while drawing on the lessons learned and best practices encouraging interoperability, standardization and best-in-class, bankable solutions.

The CGRS program development aims to fully establish new undergraduate and graduate programs at Norwich University, within the next three to five years. To engage community stakeholders, we have invited the participation of the Vermont National Guard to host a jointly designed “Integrated Technology Simulation Petting Zoo.” The simulation will allow for various technology integration and financial models to be used as “wargames,” or simulations, to determine stakeholder impact, including the effect on the financial markets.

MK Merrigan is serving as a Senior Research Fellow at CGRS to support the development of new and innovative models of learning for future civilian and military leaders. MK supported the establishment of an interdisciplinary research and design collaborative at CGRS in an effort to research effective strategies and place those strategies with actionable frameworks, while drawing on lessons learned and best-practices that encourage interoperability, standardization, and best-in-class, bankable solutions.
