MK Advisors, LLC Announces Les Lo Baugh Jr. as Newest Member
of Strategic Advisors
BRIGHTON, MI, February 10, 2022 – MK Advisors (MKA), a woman-owned consulting group focused on sustainable and resilient power solutions, is pleased to announce Les Lo Baugh, Jr. as the newest addition to MKA’s strategic partnership ecosystem.
Les is a distinguished corporate lawyer and business leader, with a wealth of global experience in the areas of renewable energy, climate change, energy resilience, utilities, Native American issues, and environmental matters. He began his career working as an aide in the U.S. Senate, where he helped craft major environmental laws. He was Chair of the Pacific Rim Energy and Environmental Practice group for one of the world’s largest law firms. Les has served on numerous boards of directors and charitable entities. Currently, he is the Chair and President of the Hiawatha Institute for Indigenous Knowledge, a member of the Pacific Council for International Policy, a Distinguished Fellow of the Northeastern University Global Resilience Institute, and President of E Cubed Optimizers, a business consulting firm with a focus on resiliency, environmental and energy-related matters.
“I am excited to welcome Les Lo Baugh, Jr. to MK Advisors.” said MKA founder and president Michelle Klassen Merrigan. “Les brings a wealth of knowledge to MKA’s strategic initiatives. It is rare to welcome such incredible wisdom, not only in the indigenous community, but someone with a background within the justice department and one of the co-authors of one of the heftiest pieces of legislation in recent history – the Endangered Species Act.”
Les complements MKA’s mission to assist Indigenous people to gain greater control over their energy usage while simultaneously enhancing Tribal resiliency and reducing energy costs. Savings in energy costs allow Tribal Nations to utilize those savings where the Tribal leadership determines there is the greatest need.
